**STEN MKII 9MM (FULLY TRANSFERRABLE). SN WV2. Cal. 9mm. 8” bbl. Manufactured by Britain, registered by “L.R. Smith., Cabin John, MD”. Receiver is dated 1945 and marked “Longbranch” and on the other side marked with Asian/Oriental characters indicating Chinese possession at one time. Accessories include magazine, loop-type Sten shoulder stock. Gun’s action moves freely when cycled by hand, passes functions check and mags fit well in magazine well. PROVENANCE: A. William Vallerand Collection. CONDITION: Blue finish on most parts, about 85%, mostly a dark blue with some corrosion turning to brown patina. Bbl shows quite a bit of smooth patina on it. Underside, forward of the triggerguard is a small black and yellow enameled piece of sheet metal. Other parts appear to be correct vintage. Bolt is in excellent condition. Front sight has, at one time, been broken, then brass welded where the dovetail goes in. Interesting WWII vintage with possible Chinese service owned by a fine collector. 4-39873 JWK204 (3,000-4,000)
