HUBLEY LOCKHEED SIRIUS AIRPLANE. One of the finest known all original examples to exist. Vibrant colors with gray rubber tires, a nickel plated engine & propeller and gilt trim. The open seated cockpit contained Lindberg himself and his copilot. A most desirable as well as realistic toy plane manufactured by Hubley in the 1930s. SIZE: 8-1/2″ l. PROVENANCE: From the collection of the late Larry Seiber of San Jose, CA. CONDITION: Very fine plus with some minor chipping to paint on wings and tail. 1-9109 (4,500-6,500)
