18KT COMPACT BOX BY CARTIER, PARIS. This fabulous 18kt yellow gold and black enamel compact box by Cartier, Paris is a rectangular hinged box having black enamel ends and three diamond and black enamel clasp. Lid opens to reveal an inside area of the top which has a gold frame and once probably held a mirror which is not present. The bottom interior having two cut corner powder wells and brush holder. Marked “Cartier Paris” with French hallmarks. WEIGHT: 4.9 tr oz. SIZE: 2-1/4” x 3-1/2”. CONDITION: Small chips to edges of black enamel ends, missing mirror and brush.
