STEINWAY & SONS, NEW YORK, PARLOR GRAND PIANO. SERIAL #150951. The instrument with ebonized case, circa 1911, additionally marked on the interior “STEINWAY FOUNDRY STEEL CASING” and embossed with the numeral “28/3.B 991”. Of typical form, raised on square, tapered, molded legs, terminating in Marlborough feet having 88 keys. SIZE: 72″ l. x 58″ w. x 39″ h. PROVENANCE: From a Beacon Hill, Boston, MA and Thomaston, Maine Estate. CONDITION: Piano retains original, somewhat crackled, ebonized finish, sound board and all interior workings intact. Piano plays with good clear tone. Ivory keys original; rough edges to keys at center, two cracked. Otherwise very good overall condition. 9-93632 (5,000-8,000)
