OUTSTANDING FRENCH PORCELAIN AND ORMOLU MANTLE CLOCK. The light blue case with gilt highlights has a fine hand painted scene of two women and gentlemen in landscape. Signed “Petit”. The front façade having two handpainted porcelain columns with buildings and landscape. The beveled bezel is hiding an enamel dial with two keyholes. Fine ormolu leaf feet which extend across the apron. Ormolu mounts on column, crest and finial. The case marked “Made in France”. Pendulum is present with no key. The brass works marked “Made in France 7252 81”. Also marked “Japyfreres Cie”. PROVENANCE: Estate of Maria M. Viveiros, New Bedford, Massachusetts. SIZE: 21” h x 14-1/2” w.
