*SCARCE JUREK SINGLE SHOT PISTOL. Cal. 22. SN 18952. Odd little tip-up pistol with 8” tapered rnd bbl, fixed sights & checkered 1-pc walnut grip. Very simple design with a floating firing pin in breechblock and a striker without a safety. Breechblock has a push button on left side which releases sliding lock and allows bbl to be tipped down for loading & extraction. Striker must be manually cocked. It has a serrated trigger & a stamped triggerguard. Dr. Jurek, while not well-known in the United States, produced a variety of styles & models of single shot target pistols in Europe, including muzzle loaders. CONDITION: About very good. Overall retains about 92-93% orig blue with some odd pitting on left side of muzzle. Stock has a crack on each side by the screws, with light nicks & scratches and retains about 75% orig varnish.
