RARE COMPANY DISPLAY REMINGTON MODEL 1891 SINGLE SHOT TARGET PISTOL. Cal. 22. SN 54. Rare factory display piece with 10″ oct to rnd bbl, dovetail front sight, missing the blade, and fixed rear sight. It has tiny walnut forearm and 1-pc walnut grip with case colored frame. About 1/2 of the right side of the grip has been machined away flush with the frame and has a screw hole about 1″ from the bottom of the butt, apparently where it was attached to the company display board. CONDITION: As noted, otherwise very fine plus. Bbl retains about 97% glossy bright blue with one small flaked spot on the top left flat and faint muzzle and sharp edge wear. Frame retains most of its orig case hardening with faded colors mixed with silver. Breech block, trigger and lockplate retain generous amounts of orig niter blue. Left side of the grip retains most of its orig varnish. Crisp mechanics, brilliant shiny bore. 4-54305 JR652 (2,500-4,000)
