FINE LOUIS VUITTON TRAVEL TRUNK. Early 20th century. The rectangular trunk with hardwood strapping, brass-studded, covered with monogrammed canvas and leather-sewn edges, reinforced with metal strapping, retaining original lock, latches, and carrying handles, the end with stenciled initials “L.T.A.” and “Warwick R.I.”. The hinged lid opening to a lined interior and fitted with the original compartmented tray. The lid retaining the original Louis Vuitton label and serial number 154556, the Paris address of 70 Champs-Elysees, the London address of 149 New Bond Street, together with the Lille and Nice addresses. SIZE: 14″ h x 44″ l x 22″ d. CONDITION: In very nice original condition, with acceptable wear; carrying wheels still functioning, central leather latch-strapping absent. Otherwise very good.
