*SMITH & WESSON MODEL 36-1 DA REVOLVER. Cal. 38 Spcl. SN 2J3332. Blued finish, 3” bbl, ramp front sight, adjustable rear sight, checkered medallion square butt grips. Accompanied by its original blue & silver 2-pc Bangor Punta box with tools & instruction sheet. Also accompanies is a Smith & Wesson letter for another similar revolver, but which indicates that in 1975, 213 such identical revolvers were produced in the serial range 2J3124 thru 2J3347. This letter states that these were the only standard 3” heavy bbl Chief Specials ever completed by the factory. CONDITION: As new. Has been fired but retains virtually all its bright original factory finish to revolver & grips, with a faint cylinder line. Crisp mechanics, bright shiny bore. Box is fine. 4-51772 JR539 (250-500)
