**GERMAN MG 13 AS EXPORTED TO PORTUGAL WITH ACCESSORIES (FULLY TRANSFERABLE). SN C-132. Cal. 8mm Mauser. 29″ bbl. Model MG-13 manufactured by BSW (WaA4). Dated 1938 with Portuguese coat of arms underneath. Accessories include: woodland camouflage painted MG-13 “music stand” tripod with brass plate affixed which states “Fabrica de Beraco. de Prata/ Lisbon”; one single spare bbl canister with bbl; one double spare bbl canister with cleaning kit and two spare bbls and handle section of cleaning rods; six gray magazine pouches which will each hold four mags; one leather gunner’s pouch complete with asbestos pad, one spare bolt(complete with firing pin) also one spare firing pin, extractor, anti-aircraft sight, spanner, brass lube bottle, combination case extractor tool and screwdriver, and cleaning brush; one 1930s dated German top latch ammo can with two more complete bolts, two mainsprings, spanner, muzzle bearing, mag loader, brass case extractor, two horse hair brushes, two tin boxes with three additional spare firing pins, six spare extractors and numerous other small parts, pins and springs; one large web canvas and leather carrying sling with metal hooks and another web and leather carrying strap (used for the tripod); one double sized ammo box with two each “oleo and petroleo” lubrication cans; a ranging kit complete in its canvas and leather pouch which includes large nails to stake the traverse in as well as the mounting hardware to attach to the gun for traversing right and left; one orig, 1913 dated German manual in very fine condition; one metal muzzle soaking can; one blank firing adapter in storage container; one complete cleaning kit with pull through chain, oil bottle and brushes; one bottom plate and turnbuckle to fasten MG-13 tripod to ground or wood platform; four MG 13 ammo cans with 8 mags each. Total number of mags included in this lot is 42. Firing mechanism functions smoothly when cycled by hand and weapon appears fully functional. Magazines fit in mag wells properly. CONDITION: Overall finish and appearance is simply outstanding with highly attractive enamel black paint covering the shroud, muzzle and receiver of firearm, as well as exposed areas of buttstock assy. Buttstock post is covered in black leather sheath with brown leather pads covering actual butt of stock. All screws and catches appear to be in excellent condition. Bolt in gun shows WaA11, while rest of gun shows WaA4. Pistol grip wood is in good condition with slight dings and handling marks. Metal of pistol grip is refinished in blue. There are some scratches in the enamel on left side of receiver, notably where the safety rotates. Bipod, also marked WaA4 is of the early type with leg adjustment knob, as is proper. Carrying handle wood also matches handgrip wood in color and condition. Bbl in gun as well as spares appear to have excellent bores and finish is excellent as well. It would be hard to imagine a more complete and attractive MG-13. Parts, accessories and spares are all mint to near-mint condition. This would be a very welcome addition to any German machine Gun or WWII collector. 4-40262 JWK30 (12,500-17,500)
