WALTER FRANKLIN LANSIL (American, 1846-1925) “LOW TIDE, NEW BRUNSWICK COAST, 1883”. Oil on canvas coastal scene shows a sandy beach with three boats at low tide with buildings beside. Two men are at the end of one boat conversing. The ocean is calm and there are four sails on the horizon. All under a blue and white sky. Signed lower right. Housed in a gilt molded wood replacement frame. Also titled, signed and dated on reverse of canvas by artist. SIZE: 16″ x 26″. PROVENANCE: From a Waterville, Maine Estate. CONDITION: Surface dirt, untouched condition and will brighten under cleaning. 9-98916 (2,000-4,000)
