**GERMAN MG-34 MACHINE GUN MADE BY “BSW” (C&R). SN 7688 k. Cal. 8mm Mauser. 24-1/2″ bbl. Receiver manufactured by “WaA 4 “bsw”. Barrel is Isreali chrome-lined. Wooded butt un-numbered but collar is “WaA 76”. Receiver socket is serial 6902 “WaA 813”. Top Cover is serial 3055 “cof” (Grossfuss). Feed tray serial is 8479b “cof”. Buttstock is un-numbered on wood with some dings, and bruises, but no cracks. Pistol grip is un-numbered but matching in condition to rest of gun. Likewise the charging handle is un-nunbered. Bipod is Nazi marked without leg adjustment knob. Bbl shroud marked “dot ” (Brunn), and “1944”. Muzzle booster forward edge is slightly out of round for about ½” distance but still completely serviceable. Booster cup is present inside. This weapon appears fully functional. Firing mechanism operates correctly when cycled by hand. Bolt is marked “WaA 4”, which would match in manufacture to this gun. PROVENANCE: A. William Vallerand Collection. CONDITION: Overall finish and appearance in 80% blue graying on top cover, buttstock socket, and thinning refinish on feed tray. Pistol grip and top cover appear to have been black enamel painted at some point, which the Germans did sometimes in the field. Chrome lined bore in Israeli marked barrel is excellent shiny and bright. Receiver cams and shroud cams are in very good condition. A fine solid example of an MG-34 and with chrome lined barrel would be well suited to shoot surplus ammo.
