*RARE SMITH & WESSON AIRWEIGHT CHIEFS SPECIAL DA REVOLVER. Cal. 38 Spcl. SN 28244. Very scarce little revolver with 2” bbl, fixed sights, diamond checkered medallion round butt grips with flat latch, alloy frame and alloy cylinder. It has a 4-screw sideplate with a locking screw in the top sideplate screw. It is accompanied by its original 2-pc red box with blue & white end label that is marked “Aluminum” and “Blued”. It has an overstamp “AIRWEIGHT”. It has English & Spanish directions inside the lid. CONDITION: Extremely fine. May have been fired but retains virtually all its fine original finish to the revolver & grips. Box has fuzzed corners & worn edges; is lightly soiled with scratches & nicks; and with some minor losses of the label. 4-51685 JR585 (500-1,000)
