SMITH & WESSON OLD MODEL RUSSIAN CONTRACT LARGE FRAME REVOLVER. Cal. 44 Russian. Old model with 7” keyhole ribbed bbl, Cyrillic address and eagle proof marks on the top rib, modified pinned half moon front sight and 2-pc smooth wood grips. Trigger guard has reversed curved finger rest. There are small inspector marks over the various parts. SN 13282. CONDITION: Fair to good. All matching including the grips. No original finish remains being a cleaned gray patina over all with moderate pitting overall. Grips have a stress fracture on the left inside, otherwise are fine. Extractor cam pawl is a replacement. Bore is worn and dark with a ring about midpoint, mechanics are fine. 4-47929 JR37 (Anderson Collection) (750-1,500)
