SIX SHERATON STAMPED BRASS VALANCES. Circa 1840. Presented as two sets of three. One set designed with a row of foliate guilloches above a row of inverted arched panels, interspaced with leaftips, mounted on board. Second set in the form of a folding ribbon with grapevine and tassel design, centering a cartouche, mounted on board with obtuse ends. SIZE: First set: Each 44-1/2″ l. x 5″ d. Second set: Each 46″ overall l. x 3-1/2″ interior d. PROVENANCE: From a fine Beacon Hill and Thomaston estate. CONDITION: Overall good with normal tarnishing and blemishes.
