*ROCK ISLAND 1903 RIFLE. Cal. 30-06. SN 70558. 24” bbl dated “5-07”. This appears to be a composite of parts that are for the most part Rock Island. CONDITION: Receiver retains 90% of a reblue which may or may not be arsenal with an unmarked bolt being parkerized. Bbl is dated “5-07” & retains approx. 70% of an added blue fading in front of band. Front bbl band & sight cover have been dark parkerized with middle band retaining orig finish & turning brown. Rear sight base retains 75% of refinish with sight retaining 60% of orig finish. Buttstock is a Springfield with two stock bolts with a fake/forged Rock Island “1907” cartouche in it as well as a “RRAD” rebuild mark & an open “P” underneath. Trigger guard assembly is parkerized with about 85% of finish with floorplate being blued at around 85%. Bore is dark with reasonably strong rifling. Smooth buttplate with very little finish. 4-57831 BK50 (500-800)
