NEW ENGLAND FEDERAL INLAID CHERRY STAND. First quarter 19th century. The square top with central fan inlaid rondel and fan spandrels, the edge with herringbone inlay, projecting above the conforming frieze with string inlaid panels, raised on square tapered legs, string inlaid with banded cuffs. “Mrs Webster / Worcester Mass” penciled in script on underside of top. SIZE: 27″ h. Top: 18-3/4″ x 19-1/4″. CONDITION: Painted surfaces have been removed, now with a satin polished surface. Top re-attached with restoration to shrinkage cracks.
