**SUPERB COLT THOMPSON MODEL 1921AC SUB MACHINE GUN(C&R). SN 14415. Cal 45 ACP. 12-1/4″ bbl with orig Cutts marked compensator and vertical foregrip and Lyman rear sight. Includes orig 1921 internal parts and 50 rnd “L” drum marked “AUTO-ORDNANCE CORP”, SN#539, military issue with parkerized finish. Also includes three “Auto-Ordnance Corp” marked 20 rnd mags and one 20 rnd mag marked only with “PATENTED- AUG 20,1920/ AUG 24, 1920-JAN 11, 1921″, and also a reproduction hard case with blue lining. Also included correct commercial stock w/o sling swivels. No oiler in buttstock trap. Action functions smoothly when cycled by hand. Mechanism functions properly. PROVENANCE: Consignor has provide letter dated 11/16/89 where previous owner states that gun was originally purchased by New Orleans police dept. CONDITION: Overall appearance is outstanding on all metal parts 98% + deep blue. Numbers and lettering are clear with white paint inside to show off lettering. Wood is also extremely fine with signs of some finish being added. Buttstock shows some dings and light handling marks and notably has a 1/4″ knot on the right side, handsomely figured. Buttplate hardware shows 70% blue on buttplate with significantly higher percentage on stock hardware. Only showing wear at point which comes in contact with the receiver. Hand grip is excellent with only one minor 1/2” long mark on right side. Bore has very strong and sharp rifling with some darkness to the lands and grooves. Fine shiny bore Truly a very attractive Colt Model 1921 and would make a wonderful addition to any class three firearms collection. 4-40644 JWK102 (20,000-30,000)
