AMERICAN CLASSICAL CARVED MAHOGANY SOFA. Figured mahogany barrel crest rail with scrolled acanthus carved terminals and floral rosettes above the padded rectangular back flanked by serpentine out-scrolled arms with acanthus carved supports centering the cushioned seat and fitted bolsters above the half round seat rail, raised on side-facing carved hairy paw feet with nut and acanthus carved returns. All recovered in a red on red silk stripped fabric. SIZE: 35” h x 89” l. CONDITION: Good dark original. Back leg has outstanding restoration. 9-74460 QP (2,500-4,000)
