*1903 SPRINGFIELD RIFLE. Cal 30-06. SN 87402. 24” bbl dated “05”. Good example of a 1905-06 update. CONDITION: Receiver in good condition retaining approx. 80% finish mottling. Bbl has 85% blue with wear being at rear sight base and front sight. Rear band is pitted, front band is later parkerized replacement. Bolt is correct with 90% finish. Trigger guard and floor plate is 80% mottling and correct. Buttplate retains virtually no finish. Wood has correct no-bolt stock with “E.L.H.” inspectors marks, but has duffle bag cut and re-pieced with a significant amount of micro-bed underneath and just to the rear of the middle band. Upper hand guard is WWI replacement with a 3” crack running just forward of the middle band. Mechanically sound. Bore is bright with some dirt in it, should clean fine. 4-57803 BK16 (1,000-1,800)
