**INLAND M-2 CARBINE (C&R). SN 2986552. Cal. .30. 18” bbl. M-1 carbine converted to M-2 carbine. Manufactured 10-43 “INLAND MANUFACTURING DIVISION GENERAL MOTORS 10-43”. Receiver also marked “INLAND” and has push button type safety. Accessories include .30 Carbine sling, and bayonet lug and forend keeper are present. Also includes U.S.Marine Corps marked pouch with 2 mags attached to the stock. Stamped “USMC 1943”. Weapon appears fully serviceable and vintage throughout and passes functions check. PROVENANCE: A. William Vallerand Collection. CONDITION: Overall finish and appearance is really very good, has a greenish, smooth finish throughout most of the metal parts. Round type bolt has only about 10% of the finish, the rest of it is a grey/greenpatinaed metal. Bayonet lug and forend keeper have a shiny black blued finish. Webbing in magazine pouch and sling completely serviceable and the bbl is shiny and bright with some pits, part way down the bbl. This carbine definitely looks like a vintage WWII weapon rebuilt for Korean War use, which is not a far jump as the previous owner of this item was a Korean War veteran. 4-39869 JWK201 (4,000-6,000)
