SHELL CAMEO BROOCH. Wonderful Victorian brooch has large shell cameo carved with the Virgin Mary and Christ child sitting atop a pedestal with a man and woman kneeling at the base of the pedestal offering gifts. The pedestal is engraved “Ave Maria”. The large cameo is set in a nice gold filled frame with twisted border. Very nicely detailed carving. SIZE: 2-1/2” x 2-1/4”.
