COLT BURGESS LEVER ACTION RIFLE. Cal. 44-40. Standard grade rifle with 25-1/2″ oct. bbl, Rocky Mountain silver blade front sight and semi-buckhorn rear sight. Uncheckered wood with straight stock and crescent steel buttplate with trap. SN 4492. CONDITION: Very good, plus. Bbl and magazine tube retains 94-96% strong original blue with good crisp markings. Receiver retains 50-60% flaked blue with the balance a brown patina. Wood is sound, missing a couple of small chips at the tang and retains about 90% original finish.
