COLT LARGE FRAME LIGHTNING RIFLE. Cal. 40-60-260. Standard rifle with 28″ oct. bbl, full magazine, silver blade Rocky Mountain front sight and semi-buckhorn rear sight. Checkered forearm with uncheckered straight stock with crescent steel buttplate. SN 1926. CONDITION: Very good to excellent. Bbl retains 94-96% strong original blue with one or two minor dings on an edge. Magazine tube retains 93-95% dull original blue with a dent near the muzzle end. Receiver retains about 90% bright original blue thin on the top and bottom. Wood is sound and retains about 90% original finish on the forearm and what appears to be most of an old refinish on the buttstock. Bright shiny bore. 4-46694 JR128 (4,000-7,000)
