SPRINGFIELD MODEL 1879 TRAPDOOR RIFLE. SN 231418. Cal. .45-70, 32-5/8″ bbl. The “SWP” cartouche is dated 1883. CONDITION: Fine, plus condition with bright case hardening colors on the breech block and tang. 90% blue on balance of metal parts. The stock inspection mark is crisp, there are some heavy scratches near the butt on the left side. Action is crisp. 4-46709 FS246 (1,000-1,500)
