*WINCHESTER MODEL 40 SEMI-AUTO SHOTGUN. Cal. 12ga. Scarce shotgun with 28″ plain modified bbl, steel receiver, uncheckered wood, beavertail forearm, semi-pistol grip stock with old Hawkins pad. SN 12947. CONDITION: Good to very good. Bbl retains 85-90% dull blue. Receiver 95-97% strong bright blue. Forearm retains 95% bright original varnish. Buttstock, probably a replacement, has a hairline on back of receiver, is dark and oil stained through the wrist and retains 50-60% varnish. Dirty bore with lots of shine. 4-46853 JR287 (200-350)
