OUTSTANDING SILVER PLATED WATER COOLER WITH HORSE AND JOCKEY MOTIF BY MERIDEN SILVER PLATE CO. Product number “8244”. Cylinder body with castle top supported by four columns, decorative base has band of decoration with birds and flowers. Central cylinder has large repousse horse with jockey. Also, man walking horse, Colt, chickens, birds and trees. Full spigot with ivory handle, presentation plaque “Presented to S.S. Houghton by Chas Casper Jany 1st 1882”. Cover has standing horse finial. A fine example of American silver plate. SIZE: 21″ h x 11″ dia. base. CONDITION: Very good, horse tail on finial broken. (1,000-2,000)
