IMPRESSIONIST OIL ON BOARD “REDEMPTION” BY AUGUSTUS VINCENT TACK (1870-1949). Painting shows several figures appearing to be in mourning. Signed Tack bottom right. Large Kraushaar Gallery (260 Fifth Ave New York) label on back with title, artist, and price ($1200). Housed in a fine replacement frame. According to Deerfield Academy’s raisonne, Tack exhibited at the Kraushaar Galleries several times. In their listing of known works this painting is listed under its title and is indicated as being painted by 1922. This painting was exhibited at Kraushaar Galleries Feb 7-28, 1922.
