*WINCHESTER MODEL 37 EXPERIMENTAL OR PROTOTYPE SINGLE BARREL SHOTGUN. Cal. 14ga. Unmarked, except for the Winchester proof and “14ga 2-1/4 cham.” It has all the outward appearances of a standard Steelbilt 37 with 26″ bbl and standard wood with hard rubber buttplate. This shotgun was built to shoot the experimental aluminum cased 14ga ammunition primarily created for the experimental Model 59’s and a Model 21. A very rare, probably one of a kind, Model 37. SN 1 (Stamped on the bottom of the receiver at the front edge). CONDITION: Has been fired but retains most of its original factory finish to both metal and wood with several tiny nicks and dings to stock and forearm. 4-46865 JR165 (1,000-3,000)
