FINE LARGE RUSSIAN BRONZE FIGURAL GROUP OF MEN AND CHILD IN THREE-HORSE TROIKA BY IEVGUENI ALEXANDROVITCH LANCERAY. Fine casting shows three horses in different positions being scared by two wolves. They pull a Russian Troika, which has standing man holding reins. Seated boy and another man on his knees. Large oval base, signed artists name in Cyrillic and dated “1873”. Also bears foundry mark and 1878. Also, states “Exposition Universelle Departement Russe Philadelphia 1876”. SIZE: 8-1/4″ h x 16-1/2″ l x 7-1/2″ w. CONDITION: The twisted bronze reigns are unattached and appear some sections of reign are missing. Otherwise, in very good condition. 9-90502 (6,000-8,000)
