*WINCHESTER PROTOTYPE TARGET RIFLE. Cal. 6mm. Built on a post-64 action with 32″ tapered heavy bbl and a heavy target stock with hand stop rail, sling swivels and a Winchester rubber pad. The bbl is without sights and the receiver has Weaver bases and rings containing an Unertl Condor 6x scope. The bbl is marked with “WRP” (Winchester Research Proof) mark and the muzzle is stamped “MUZZLE & 6MM”, otherwise is unmarked. SN 757637. CONDITION: Excellent. Appears to have been fired but retains virtually all its original finish to both metal and wood, excellent optics. Given Mr. Hutchinson’s close connection to Winchester, this undoubtedly was an experimental target rifle. It has an outstanding trigger. 4-46811 JR53 (500-1,000)
