Harkom & Sons” on banners on each side of action. Trigger guard has more scroll and SN at grip. Nicely stump figured and lightly marbled European walnut straight grip buttstock measures 14-5/8″ over fancy scroll embossed hard rubber buttplate. Stock also features typical drop points, point pattern checkering at grip, and a large vacant gold shield on toe line. Matching splinter Southgate ejector forend has Anson release with interesting rounded button. Bore diameter: left -.670, right – .672. Bore restrictions: left – .029 (full), right – .019 (mod). Wall thickness: left – .026, right – .028. Drop at heel: 2-3/16″, drop at comb: 1-7/16″. Cast: neutral. Weight: 5 lbs. 13 oz. LOP: 14-5/8″. Gun comes with green canvas leather trimmed takedown soft case by Boyt. CONDITION: Very good, as partially refinished. Bbls retain essentially all of an old re-black. Action has traces of orig case hardening color where protected, but is mostly an attractive pewter gray. Stocks retain nearly all of an oil refinish over numerous light and dark nicks and dings, with some subsequent thinning, rubs, and marks. Checkering has not been re-cut, somewhat worn. Bores are very fine, lightly frosted. Action is tight. Bbls are on face. Ejectors are strong and in time. Case is fine. A fast handling lightweight Scottish best. 53209-3 MGM (6,500-10,000) – Lot 1232
