*SUPERB QUALITY SEMI-AUTOMATIC SHOTGUN BY COSMI WITH “GRAN LUSSO” SCROLL AND GAME SCENE ENGRAVING BY DASSA WITH CASE.

SN 8148. (2002) Cal. 12 ga. 3″ Chambers. 24″ Bbl of Bohler Antinit steel is fitted with raised ventilated rib. Bottom of bbl is stamped with 2002 Italian nitro proofs for 3″ chambers. Blued receiver is marked “Cosmi Brev. Ancono. Italy.” on left side. Coin finished firing and feed group with non-automatic safety is engraved with superb scroll surrounding large rose bouquets and well done Bulino scenes of dogs and game; a spaniel retrieves a woodcock on left front, with pointing setter at rear. Right side has pointing pointer at rear and flying quail at front. Scroll on bottom of action surrounds dramatic scene of cock pheasant erupting from hedgerow over rail fence with hen departing in distance. This scene is signed “Dassa”. Near exhibition quality burl figured European walnut extreme pistol grip buttstock measures 14-1/4″ over black solid rifle pad. Flat top point pattern checkering is at grip. Matching forend has knurled knob at tip for attaching to bbl assembly. Drop at heel: 2-3/4″-, drop at comb: 1-5/8″. Cast: neutral. Weight: 8 lbs. 4 oz. LOP: 14-1/4″. Gun is housed in aluminum travel case with Cosmi tag on top. Case is lined in olive green cloth, with leather Cosmi label in lid. Case contains instruction booklet, spare mainspring in vinyl wallet, and 3 choke tubes and a wrench in leather Cosmi marked wallet. CONDITION: Excellent, very close to new, with some minor handling marks in all surfaces and minor crazing and some lifting of varnish in buttstock.
