**EXCEEDINGLY FINE ORIGINAL FINISH CHINESE TYPE 56 UNDER-FOLDING BAYONET MACHINE GUN (CURIO & RELIC).

SN 11054254. Cal. 7.62 x 39mm. 16-1/4″ bbl. Exceptionally attractive Chinese Type 56 (AK-47) machine gun as mfg by Factory 66 in 1967. Carrier and bolt cover match receiver SN. Bolt and plunger are SN 62976. It was not uncommon for parts to be mixed up when these guns were disassembled in field conditions. Selector marked “L” and “D”. Cleaning kit present in butt trap. Includes one steel mag and one orig web and leather sling. The Chinese Type 56 is a select fire machine gun and widely considered one of the most durable and effective of the modern assault rifles. Iconic world wide it is a highly prized collectors item. This is a National Firearms Act item and requires BATF approval prior to transfer. This weapon is fully transferable on an ATF form 3 or form 4 as Curio & Relic eligible. CONDITION: Overall appearance and finish is simply outstanding. Orig lustrous blue finish on all appropriate metal parts with bayonet blade, bolt and carrier in the white. Wood is also very fine with some light handling marks and a couple of chips in the forearm on either side of where the bayonet tip is stored when folded as well as a couple chips on the right side. Mechanics are crisp. Chrome lined bore is extremely fine, brilliant. An absolutely tremendous condition specimen, which must have been bagged right after it left the factory because the orig finish is so pristine.
