**IMPRESSIVE BRANDT 81 MM MORTAR (DESTRUCTIVE DEVICE).SN C315. Cal. .81MM. Bbl length 46″. Very impressive ensemble, consisting of a Brandt 81MM mortar w/ WWII (P.S.C.M. Co.) bipod assembly complete w/ spring chain at bottom of legs. Orig base plate also included. Desirable accessories include M81 sight w/carrying case, 1 box of 25 Winchester M3 type 2 ignition cartridges and another box of 100 shells M6 ignition cartridges dated August, 1952. Also, an inert M819 projectile and inert M880 practice projectile. Also included is a 1958 81MM mortar field manual, 1957 technical manual, and 1971 technical manual. The 81MM mortar was normally utilized at battalion level fire support. In the collector’s world today, these are sought-after items, as they will accept “soup can diameter” projectiles, which can be homemade with a little effort.This is a National Firearms Act item and requires BATF approval prior to transfer. This weapon is fully transferable on an ATF form 3 or form 4 as a destructive device. CONDITION: Overall appearance and finish extremely fine as repainted in correct green paint on tube and cup. Base plate also repainted over pitting sand-blasted data plate. Bi-pod is in orig paint. Mortar rounds in very fine condition, as are cartridge boxes and manuals.
