DUTCH BEAUMONT MODEL 1871/78 RIFLE CONVERSION TO BOX MAGAZINE FEED WITH BAYONET.

SN 2949. Cal. 11.3 x 51 R. 32-3/4″ bbl. Dutch Beaumont bolt action rifle, Vitali converted to fire four rnds from fixed box mag. Bbl dated 1875 with typical proofs. Visible numbers non-matching. Bolt is all matching to itself. Originally a single shot rifle, many were converted to box mag feed as this one is. Includes one orig socket bayonet. Orig cleaning rod not present. CONDITION: Overall appearance and finish is fair to good orig finish turning a nice smooth gray/brown patina with somewhat more finish remaining on mag housing. Mechanics are crisp.
