Full blue finish, straight grain American walnut stocks with plain pistol grip, grooved forearm and crescent steel buttplate. Bbl shows 2-line Remington-UMC address and patent marked rolled in front of rear sight. “REMINGTON / TRADEMARK” is rolled behind rear sight. Cal. designation is rolled on left side of other mark. Receiver shows “MODEL 12-C / 652241” on left side. Buttplate has a rnd Remington UMC trademark. PROVENANCE: The spectacular collections of Ray Bentley featuring the finest and rarest deluxe antique Winchesters in the world. CONDITION: Very good. Bbl retains 80% somewhat dull blue finish with muzzle and high-point wear. Markings are sharp. Standard sights are very good. Bore is frosty with visible rifling. Receiver shows 90% somewhat dull blue finish with stains near trigger guard and takedown screw. Markings are sharp. Mechanics are crisp. Stocks are good to very good, show traces of crinkled varnish finish with numerous handling marks and some dark staining.
