*WWII WINCHESTER 1943 MODEL 12 US MILITARY 12 GA SHOTGUN.

SN 971133. Cal. 12 ga. 20-3/4″ bbl. Proper US and flaming ordnance bomb on right side of receiver. “W.B.” in rectangle over crossed cannon cartouche on left side of stock. Made in 1943. Takedown. SN on front half of gun has been restamped to match. Winchester proof on top of bbl stamped over flaming ordnance bomb. Cyl choke. Front half of gun most likely refinished. Bbl on this gun has been shortened to its current length. 18-groove wood pump handle. PROVENANCE: The spectacular collections of Ray Bentley featuring the finest and rarest deluxe antique Winchesters in the world. CONDITION: Fine. Back half of gun with a fair amount of proper finish. Front half of gun with most of a proper refinish. Discoloration towards muzzle. Markings are clear. Butt shows wear, lightly refinished with minor handling marks.
