SHARPS MODEL 1C PEPPERBOX PISTOL.SN 3637. Cal. 22 RF. 2-1/2″ bbl, blue and silver finish, plain wood grips. Bbl cluster shows SN stamped on bottom and butt of frame, numbers match. Left side of frame is marked “C. SHARPS & CO PHILADA. PA.” and right side is marked “C. SHARPS PATENT 1859”. PROVENANCE: The spectacular collections of Ray Bentley featuring the finest and rarest deluxe antique Winchesters in the world. CONDITION: Very good. Bbl cluster shows a deep mottled grey/brown patina overall with some minor dents. Bores are dark. Frame retains traces of silver in protected areas. Right side of frame mark is sharp; left side is partially washed out. SN is sharp. Grips are good with considerable varnish left. Grips have high-point wear and scratches overall. Mechanics are crisp. A nice example of an early Sharps Pepperbox pistol. 53094-67 TEP (100-125) – Lot 2318
