SCARCE CHICAGO FIREARMS COMPANY PROTECTOR PALM PISTOL WITH BLUE FINISH.

SN 5210. Cal. 32 RF. 1-9/16″ bbl, full blue finish, Mother-of-pearl side panels. Left side disc is marked “CHICAGO FIREARMS CO. CHICAGO.ILL.”. Right disc is marked “THE PROTECTOR PAT. MCH. 6 83 AUG. 29. 93.”. SN is stamped on rotary breech and on inside of each sideplate. Right sideplate has “INS.” stamped under SN with “F” at center. Trigger has a gutta percha pad at rear. PROVENANCE: The spectacular collections of Ray Bentley featuring the finest and rarest deluxe antique Winchesters in the world. CONDITION: Very fine, appears unfired. Frame retains 98% bright blue finish overall with some high-point wear. Bore is bright with strong rifling. Breech block is very clean. Mother-of-pearl side panels are fine and intact. Right side panel has two cracks but is stable. All markings are sharp and clear. Mechanics are crisp. This is a very scarce Protector Palm Pistol with a blue finish.
