RARE GATLING GUN COMPANY OPERATION MANUAL AND BROADSIDE AD.Paper ad shows 3 figures of Gatling Guns with different feeds and mounts. Figure 1 shows a Model 1883 on a field carriage. Gun is mounted with Accles feed drum. Figure 2 shows Model 1883 mountain gun on a small mountain carriage with a Bruce feed. Figure 3 shows a short Model 1883 on a tripod mount with Accles feed drum. Literature below describes each figure and the feed mechanisms along with the rate of fire of 1200 shots per minute. Ad is framed in black wood frame with glass cover and pine back. 1872 dated Gatling Battery Gun Manual by Maj General W.B. Franklin has blue paper covers and is 12 pages with instructions and illustrations for gunnery crews. PROVENANCE: The spectacular collections of Ray Bentley featuring the finest and rarest deluxe antique Winchesters in the world. CONDITION: Good to very good. Shows creases, horizontal and vertical, and staining overall. Images are clear, printing is clear. Edge is slightly frayed at bottom. Not examined out of frame.
