RARE GROUP OF CIVIL WAR ERA GOLD DECORATED SWORD BLADES.

Three of these swords are agent marked “W. H. Horstmann & Sons, Philadelphia”, two are straight bladed staff swords, both 34″ long; one is quill backed, the other is Damascus. An addition Horstmann’s sword is a Cavalry officer’s saber is 33-1/2″, slightly curved. All three Horstmann sabers are in in “like new” condition with American patriotic motifs. The fourth blade is a 33″ staff officer’s blade made by Eickhorn with raised relief gold decoration and blue backgrounds with generic military decoration. PROVENANCE: The spectacular collections of Ray Bentley featuring the finest and rarest deluxe antique Winchesters in the world. CONDITION: Blades are very fine to extra fine overall. Some scattered areas of staining and rust, especially on the Eickhorn blade, otherwise blades retain most of their orig luster. 53094-157 JS (4,000-6,000) – Lot 2285
