KYNOCH CARTRIDGE BOARD.Cartridges are mounted in oak frame with a black inner frame. Cartridges are mounted on a cardboard backing with blue and gold graphics. Upper part of backboard reads “KYNOCH’S CONTRACTORS TO HER MAJESTY’S WAR DEPARTMENT / MILITARY & SPORTING AMMUNITION”. Bottom of board reads “G. KYNOCH & CO. Ld BIRMINGHAM”. Board contains 25 rifle cartridges and 33 pistol cartridges. Center of board shows and array of 32 shotgun shells, both brass and paper arranged in an 8-pointed star pattern. Points of star show primers; center of star shows a Kynoch Railway Alarm Fog Signal. There are also 2 more fog signals on each side. Bottom of casing corners show 2 large gauge paper shot shells on left side and 2 brass case shot shells on right. There are also 4 friction tube primers for cannon at the bottom. All cartridges are individually labeled. PROVENANCE: The spectacular collections of Ray Bentley featuring the finest and rarest deluxe antique Winchesters in the world. CONDITION: Lithograph backboard shows very minor water stain on right side. No missing cartridges. Graphics are bright. 53094-140 TEP (3,000-3,750) – Lot 2329
