*COLT MODEL 1877 DOUBLE ACTION EJECTOR-LESS REVOLVER, KNOWN AS “THE THUNDERER”.SN 140721. Cal. 41 COLT. 2-1/2″ bbl, blue and case color finish with 2-pc hard rubber grips with Colt medallions. Bbl shows 2-line Colt address rolled on top with Model and Cal. designation on left side. SNs are stamped on frame, trigger guard and backstrap. Last 3-digits of SN is written in pencil on inside of each grip. SN’s match. Left side of frame shows 3-line patent mark in front of Rampant Colt logo in a circle. PROVENANCE: The spectacular collections of Ray Bentley featuring the finest and rarest deluxe antique Winchesters in the world. CONDITION: Very fine. Bbl retains 98% bright blue finish with a visible feather mark around front sight. Markings are sharp. Frame retains 98% case color finish which has turned to a brown patina around recoil shield and hammer. Trigger guard and backstrap show 95% bright blue finish with only a few handling marks. Hammer retains nearly all fire blue on top and back. Trigger retains nearly all fire blue, as do the screws. Cyl shows 98% bright blue finish with slight mark around rear periphery. Mechanics need attention. Action is frozen. Hammer will not move from place. Bore was not examined due to this.
