NSN. Cal. .30-06. 24″ bbl. This gun was made without markings on receiver. Quite possibly factory made as a cutaway due to manufacturing flaw on top of receiver. 3-42 dated Remington bbl. Proper “R” marking for Remington on small parts. Cutaway on both left and right sides of gun. Circle P proof on stock behind trigger guard. No government inspectors’ cartouche on left side of stock. Cleaning kit in butt. PROVENANCE: The spectacular collections of Ray Bentley featuring the finest and rarest deluxe antique Winchesters in the world. CONDITION: Very fine with minor handling marks. Markings are clear. Stock is fine with minor crack at wrist on top and on left side by magazine cutoff lever. Bore is excellent with sharp rifling.
