SN 1207. Cal. .45. 7-1/2″ bbl. Beautiful and desirable 2nd year production slant address SAA with 2-line patent dates and beautiful deluxe burl wood grip. Attachable shoulder stock of uncertain period. All slant bbl address Colt SAA are rare and desirable. This piece has its orig nickel silver front sight. PROVENANCE: The spectacular collections of Ray Bentley featuring the finest and rarest deluxe antique Winchesters in the world. CONDITION: SN 1207 appears to have had some restoration done to the bbl. Cyl appears to be a replacement. Frame and hammer have much orig vibrant case colors and early patent dates are perfect. Bbl has matching SN 1207, whereas cyl is unnumbered. Backstrap and trigger guard retain much of what appears to be orig finish. Screws are excellent. Bore is pristine. Unusually highly figured grip retains most of what appears to be orig varnish. Action is tight and crisp. Shoulder stock is excellent, retains most all of its orig dull nickel finish.
