ULTRA RARE WINCHESTER MODEL 1873 DELUXE SADDLE RING CARBINE WITH FACTORY LETTER.SN 192665. Cal. 44-40. 20″ rnd bbl. Standard carbine sights and buttplate. Caliber marking stamped on bottom of carrier lifter. Saddle ring and stud mounted to left side of receiver and in place. Fancy straight grip XXX American walnut with fine checkering on stock and forearm. Accompanied by a Winchester factory Letter confirming carbine configuration, checkered stock, casehardened and shipped October 19, 1885. PROVENANCE: The spectacular collections of Ray Bentley featuring the finest and rarest deluxe antique Winchesters in the world. CONDITION: Very fine condition overall. Case color on right side and left sides of receiver are vivid in protected areas with balance showing softer colors. All screw heads appear untouched with no marring present. Lower tang represents 95% of case colors. Buttplate shows strong case colors, showing 95%+. Wood fits receiver about perfectly with no splits or slivers in stock. Rifle cycles beautifully.
