OUTSTANDING LOT OF 4 EARLY 44WCF CALIBER GREEN LABEL BOXES OF AMMUNITION.2 very early green label Winchester Model 1873 Cal. 44wcf cartridges. Circa 1874-1876. This early variation w/long label wraps over the right end of the box lid, so can be read from the edge. 2 additional boxes w/green labels w/no print dates in corners and are the earliest variation w/the Winchester 1873 carbine w/a detailed picture of the forward bbl band. This box was used up to the 1890s. PROVENANCE: The spectacular collections of Ray Bentley featuring the finest and rarest deluxe antique Winchesters in the world.
