*EXCEEDINGLY ATTRACTIVE US ORDNANCE REPRODUCTION MODEL 1877 GATLING GUN ON TRIPOD.

SN 10005. Cal. 45/70. 18″ bbl overall length. 34″ including length of handle. Extremely high quality faithful reproduction of the Colt Model 1877 Gatling gun with Bruce feed system on tripod as manufactured by US Ordinance Works. Marked with reproduction plaque at rear and model markings on left side of feed cover. Marked on right side of feed cover “45 cal.” Bruce feedway is of brass and steel construction with patent dates and maker marked “US ORDNANCE WORKS”. Tripod has a brass head and oak legs. Functional traverse mechanism at rear of gun proper. Sliding rear sight. These short “Bulldog” Gatling guns are very popular as both display pieces and for shooting enthusiasts. The brass casing enclosing the five steel bbls makes for a very attractive piece. PROVENANCE: The spectacular collections of Ray Bentley featuring the finest and rarest deluxe antique Winchesters in the world. CONDITION: Overall appearance and finish is extremely fine with mostly bright brass just starting to patina in places. Bolts also extremely fine and match in SN to their corresponding bbls. Tripod also extremely fine. Orig finish. Mechanics are crisp. Bores are extremely fine shiny and bright with clean chambers. Possibly unfired.
