SN 80037. Cal. 30-03. 24″ full round bbl. Marked “NICKEL STEEL BARREL / ESPECIALLY FOR SMOKELESS POWDER” on bbl and “30 GOVT 1903” on left side at chamber. . Takedown receiver is blued, matted front receiver ring with proof mark, bbl is also proof marked. Hammer, lever and lever are also blued. Stocks of straight grained American walnut with crescent buttplate. PROVENANCE: The spectacular collections of Ray Bentley featuring the finest and rarest deluxe antique Winchesters in the world. CONDITION: Fine. Round bbl retains 98% orig blue with no surface scratches or dings. Left side of receiver is a 99% orig blue as is right side of receiver. Breech block retains 99% orig blue. Box magazine is also of a 98-99% orig blue. Lever retains 95+% orig blue with balance turning to a dark colored patina. Straight grained American walnut has no dings, no splits in stock, right side has a few light scratches and a few dings. Buttplate has 80% blue. All screw heads but one look to retain all of their finish in very fine condition, one is buggered up. Bore is bright and shiny.
